What Is A Site Swap?
I'm not going to go to any great length to describe what a site swap is. Many have tried
and still a large proportion of the juggling community remain confused. A hurried
description would be: "A site swap is a list of numbers used to describe juggling
patterns", more detailed descriptions can be found by following the links below.
- "What do all those funny numbers mean?" is a frequently asked question
on the rec.juggling newsgroup. Check out the FAQ for more info.
- Always a good source for information (though I understand it hasn't been updated in a
while), is the Juggling Information
Service it has a
section on site swaps that should statisfy the curious.
- I learnt about site swaps by reading Charlie Dancey's rather fine book
"Encyclopedia of ball juggling" (Amazon UK link). The inspiration for Juggle Saver came from an Open University television programme called
"Caught in
time".
